Job Description
As part of Smiths Group’s data governance plan, we seek an MDM Analyst to define, manage, and optimise Master Data in SAP ECC, including:
- Customer data
- Vendor data
- Materials master
- Finance master
This role requires a deep end-to-end understanding of these datasets and their interdependencies in business processes. You’ll bridge gaps between technical teams and business users by gathering requirements, designing functional solutions, and facilitating testing, adoption, and change management.

Duties & Responsibilities
Key Tasks:
- Develop and maintain WinShuttle Studio scripts supporting data migration and enhancement.
- Design, build, and test Evolve forms and workflows, ensuring smooth transitions from non-prod to prod environments.
- Configure users, assign licensing, and manage security group assignments.
- Maintain expertise in SAP S/4HANA features and implementations.
- Author, review, and update quality documentation (process maps, SOP manuals, test specifications, and procedural guides).
- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
- Resolve technical and workflow-specific issues documenting findings and evolving principles.
- Collaborate with the Master Data Management Manager, Supervisor, and Data Governance Partners.
- Identify and propose data governance standards, rules, and policies to protect sensitive data.
- Balance operational tasks with project-time responsibilities.
- Analyze data migration risks, testing gaps, and compliance requirements across international teams.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have:
- Proven expertise with WinShuttle/Evolve Studio, Composer, and Foundation for solution development.
- Hands-on experience with WinShuttle Transaction, Query, and Direct in SAP ECC data loads.
- Full SAP ECC lifecycle knowledge (design, development, testing, loading, and reconciliation).
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency, including VBA scripting.
- Strong data analytics/ETL experience (SAP Data Migration, ETL tools a plus).
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
- Fluent in SAP modules for SFI/SD/MM ( FIORI/APIs if known).
- Documentation & technical support expertise.
- Complex web-form workflow development (Evolve Composer).
- Communication across technical teams, business units, and global locations.
- Basic programming skills (preferably .NET/ C# for third-party integrations).

- SQL/t-gen skills.
- Experience implementing WinShuttle/Evolve APIs in .NET C#.
- Knowledge of data model structures in SAP FI/SD/MM.
