Master Data Operations Analyst

OPERATIONS & BUSINESS DATA ANALYST
AliveDx is recruiting for an Operations and Business Data Analyst to join our Operations team based near Edinburgh (EH26 0BF). In this role, you will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management and quality of master data that underpins accurate operational reporting, planning and decision‑making across the business. The role is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 working hours per week.
YOUR MISSION Your main responsibilities will include:
Collect, create, maintain and update master data used across operational systems. Act as a first point of contact for day‑to‑day master data requests and queries, resolving issues directly where possible and escalating more complex matters when required. Work closely with operational teams to understand how data is created, captured and used in practice. Validate and cleanse data to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness. Perform regular data quality checks, investigate issues and identify root causes. Apply agreed data standards, controls and ways of working in line with the company’s data governance framework. Document current master data processes and support opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and usability of data. Use Excel and Power Query to transform, validate and prepare master data. Use Power BI to monitor data quality and highlight trends or issues. Provide operational input into data‑related changes, system enhancements and integration activities, including testing and validation. Support senior data, systems and governance stakeholders on data‑related initiatives. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with GMP, GDP and applicable regulatory requirements.

YOUR COMPETENCIES
Educated to Higher/A‑level standard or equivalent, or able to demonstrate relevant practical experience in a data, operational or systems‑based role. Experience working with data in an operational, administrative, quality or systems‑focused environment. Experience collecting, maintaining, validating or managing structured data. Strong Excel skills with experience working with large or complex datasets. Experience working with Power Bi/Power Query also desirable Ability to manage and prioritise multiple data requests. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Proactive, organised and comfortable working in an evolving role.
