Are you a commercially driven sales leader with deep experience in the UK spirits trade industry? We’re looking for a Trade Sales Lead to drive the next phase of growth for Master of Malt Trade, leading a high-performing team of Partner Managers and building strategic relationships with some of the most exciting hospitality partners across the UK. This is a role for someone who thrives on commercial ownership, team leadership and industry influence — someone who knows how to grow a channel, develop people and build meaningful partnerships. The Role You’ll lead the trade wholesale channel, developing and executing a clear sales strategy that accelerates growth, strengthens key accounts and expands our partner network. You’ll also play a key role in shaping the long-term growth of the trade channel within Atom Group, working closely with Marketing, Buying and Operations to deliver exceptional value for our partners. Key responsibilities include: Commercial Leadership Develop and execute the UK trade sales strategy aligned with channel growth targets Own the full commercial picture — forecasting, investment and ROI Analyse performance data to identify risks, opportunities and growth levers Lead and grow National Accounts, building strategic relationships with senior stakeholders Identify new growth opportunities across regions, segments and partnerships Represent Master of Malt Trade at industry events and trade shows Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Marketing, Buying and Operations to deliver successful product launches and commercial initiatives Ensure promotions, pricing strategies and trade marketing activity land effectively across the channel. Team Leadership You’ll lead and develop a team of trade Partner Managers, creating a high-performance environment where people thrive. You will: Coach and develop team members to deliver against commercial objectives Drive ownership, accountability and entrepreneurial thinking Set clear goals and KPIs and track progress through regular reviews Provide honest, constructive feedback and recognition Lead recruitment, training and development of future team members What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with strong commercial instincts and a deep understanding of the UK spirits and on-trade landscape. Essential experience Proven leadership experience managing and developing a sales team Strong P&L ownership, forecasting and financial analysis capability Significant on and off trade account management experience within the UK spirits industry Experience developing and executing channel or sales strategies National Account management and senior stakeholder negotiation Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights into growth Nice to have Experience launching new products in the spirits category Knowledge of the craft spirits market Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification Experience working in hospitality or “the other side of the bar” A full UK driving licence is required as this is a field-based role with nationwide travel.
