About Us:

We are a genuine, caring, supportive family business with a strong reputation in the local area and a unique independent garage business model. We are dedicated to offering our customers and their vehicles main dealer service and quality without the hefty price tag. We follow manufacturer-approved servicing, use good quality parts and believe in going the extra mile for our customers. We have a passion for customer care and this and our other company values is what our business was built on.

Our mission statement is "To be the best independent garage in King's Lynn and Hunstanton and the go-to alternative to the main dealer." With 4.9 stars out of 5 on Google and over 600 reviews and an unmatched commitment to vehicle maintenance and customer care, we think we're pretty close to achieving this. But we could be even closer with your help!

Why We're An Amazing Place To Work

  • We don't work weekends!
  • Two-generational family business with a focus on staff happiness and fulfilment
  • Seasonal events and team-building activities (a firm favourite was our trip to London taking on the Crystal Maze challenge and racing at the F1 Arcade - still trying to top it!)
  • Quarterly treats (snack carts, fish and chips, pizza lunch...we know food is the way to our technician's hearts!)
  • 24/7 free access to our Employee Assistance Programme for support, wellbeing and positive mental health
  • Work with 23 other really cool, fun, friendly people
  • Company shuts completely for Christmas to enjoy time with family and friends
  • Use of hundreds of discounts through Bright Exchange
  • Workshop discounts that extend to family
  • Continuous training and development
  • Flexible working available for the right candidate

PLUS: we actually help local people take care of their vehicles and often get to feel like heroes when we get it right (which we almost always do and it feels soooo good!). As they say, not all heroes wear capes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Is this the GREATEST Master Tech job in the world?!

Probably...definitely in King's Lynn :P

And here's why:

We're a pretty unique independent because we sit in a league of our own. I know what you're thinking, but hear us out...

We can't possibly be the main dealer and, we don't want to be. But we're not your average independent garage either. We are a hybrid - an independent garage for people that want main dealer servicing, but don't want to pay the extortionate prices.

We have an incredibly skilled technician at King's Lynn who is managing the diagnostics across both of our garages. He is also our Company Manager and responsible for a lotttt of other things.

What we need is another top tech to help take on some of the fancy diagnostic work coming out of our ears (!) and support the team in the workshop to tackle the fun, big jobs.

The perfect candidate will tick these boxes:

  • You'll have an obsession with problem solving. You'll love a challenge and the satisfaction of finding a fault
  • You'll have at least 7 years experience in a workshop
  • You'll be fully qualified and have excellent diagnostic skills
  • You'll have a genuine commitment to delivering first class customer service
  • You'll possess good communication skills with the ability to explain the technical stuff to colleagues and customers in a way that makes sense (remember, we don't have your brain!)
  • You'll be passionate about perfection. Finding the fault first time, every time will be your motto.
  • You'll share our care for customers and unwavering devotion to being the best we can be.
  • You'll be reliable, hard-working and a team player. We get a buzz when we have to work together to get a tricky job done - it's a bit of an Avenger's vibe.
  • You'll have read this job description and thought "Wow, this sounds like the job for me!"

Tools you'll be using:

  • Thinktool Euro Max
  • Autologic (as close to dealer level that you will get in the aftermarket!)
  • VCDS
  • Vacuum/pressure testers
  • Smoke machines
  • PicoScope

Your typical day will involve:

  • fault-finding
  • supporting less-experienced team members
  • reporting to the Company Manager throughout the day
  • taking direction from the Workshop Manager
  • looking after your workspace and helping to keep the workshop tidy
  • sharing your technical knowledge with the service team to aid with quoting
  • following health and safety procedures
  • and being a hero and wearing a metaphorical cape on occasion.

We work on all makes and models of vehicle and take on all sorts of jobs. Everyday is different so you'll never be bored!

Sound like a bit of you?

Blow us away by sending us your CV and a cover letter telling us why you want to join the K Brown Auto Repairs family. Please make sure these are up-to-date so we can see how amazing you are. We love to see something different; a voice-note or a video telling us about yourself and why we should consider you would definitely make you stand out. We look forward to hearing from you :)
