Salary £46502 per year · Based at our Gloucester Depot – located at 45 London Road, Gloucester, GL1 3HF · Annual salary - £46502.04 · Shift pattern of 5 days over 7 Sunday to Saturday Looking to lead, mentor, and master your trade? Our engineering teams play a key role in maintaining modern fleets, including electric vehicles, and supporting the systems and standards that enable safe, reliable services today and into the future. We’re looking for a skilled Master Technician to join our engineering team in Gloucester. You’ll bring expert technical knowledge while supporting the development of others as our fleet and depot environments continue to evolve. Whether you're working in the depot or out on the road, this is a hands-on role where your technical knowledge keeps our community moving. What you’ll be doing: · Carrying out complex diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs to PCV vehicles · Using diagnostic equipment to identify and fix mechanical and electrical faults · Supporting and mentoring engineering apprentices · Assisting with vehicle issues both in the depot and out on the road · Maintaining high safety, quality, and compliance standards across the fleet What we’re looking for: · Minimum Level 3 BTEC/NVQ (or equivalent) in HGV/PCV maintenance · Demonstrable previous Engineering experience, with a vehicular focus i.e. bus, HGV / LGV, truck, haulage, automotive, plant, rail, farm etc · Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults · A proactive, safety-first mindset with attention to detail and pride in doing a job well Why choose Stagecoach? · Full training provided, including health & safety, equipment use and cleaning standards · Competitive hourly rates and opportunities for overtime · Benefits including generous pension scheme, 22 days holiday, free travel for you and a companion, and a wide range of discounts including retail & leisure · Career progression, many of our colleagues have grown into engineering, driving, and management roles · A supportive, inclusive working environment where your wellbeing matters Our working environment Stagecoach is proud to be an inclusive employer.
