Masters & PhD Researcher (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your years of advanced research could directly shape how the world's most powerful AI systems think, reason, and solve problems? We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to work alongside leading AI labs — designing complex problems, stress-testing AI reasoning, and helping push the frontier of what AI can do.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. Your academic expertise isn't just a credential here — it's the core of what you'll contribute.

Organization: Alignerr

Type: Hourly Contract

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design, solve, and review advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world complexity and academic rigor
  • Apply your research expertise to construct problem statements that genuinely challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
  • Evaluate AI outputs for depth, accuracy, and logical soundness across technical domains
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance
  • Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of clarity, precision, and intellectual depth

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
