Masters & PhD Researcher (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your years of rigorous academic research could directly shape how the world’s most advanced AI systems think, reason, and solve problems? We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to bring their domain expertise to the frontier of AI development — designing complex problems, stress-testing AI reasoning, and helping cutting-edge models reach their full potential.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. No prior AI industry experience required — your research background is exactly what we need.

Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop advanced, multi-disciplinary problems that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
  • Apply your research expertise to evaluate AI outputs for academic rigor, logical soundness, and depth
  • Review and solve complex problems across scientific and technical domains with real-world relevance
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model performance
  • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and intellectual integrity across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
