About The Role
What if your years of rigorous academic research could directly shape how the world’s most advanced AI systems think, reason, and solve problems? We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to bring their domain expertise to the frontier of AI development — designing complex problems, stress-testing AI reasoning, and helping cutting-edge models reach their full potential.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want meaningful, intellectually stimulating work on their own schedule. No prior AI industry experience required — your research background is exactly what we need.

What You'll Do
- Design and develop advanced, multi-disciplinary problems that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Apply your research expertise to evaluate AI outputs for academic rigor, logical soundness, and depth
- Review and solve complex problems across scientific and technical domains with real-world relevance
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model performance
- Ensure clarity, accuracy, and intellectual integrity across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are
- Holds a Master’s or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field
- Strong track record of research, publications, or complex technical project work
- Naturally rigorous and detail-oriented — you hold your work to a high standard
- Exceptional written communicator who can translate complex ideas with clarity
- Comfortable working independently and asynchronously without close supervision
- Fluent in English

Nice to Have:
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation systems
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
- Familiarity with AI tools, language models, or model evaluation workflows
