Masters & PhD Researcher (AI Training) - Alignerr

About The Role

What if your years of advanced research could directly shape the intelligence of tomorrow's AI? We're looking for Masters and PhD-level researchers to bring their deep domain expertise to one of the most consequential challenges in modern technology — teaching cutting-edge AI models to reason, solve, and think at a graduate level.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers who want to put their expertise to work on something genuinely important — without sacrificing the autonomy of academic life.

Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop complex, multi-step problems across your domain that challenge and sharpen AI reasoning
  • Apply your research expertise to craft problem statements with real academic depth and real-world relevance
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated solutions for correctness, rigor, and conceptual accuracy
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to improve model performance
  • Ensure every deliverable meets a high standard of clarity, precision, and academic integrity

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
