About the Role
We’re seeking a Matching IT Support Assistant on a casual basis to deliver first-line, on-the-spot technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across matchdays and events.
Core responsibilities include:
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical faults efficiently
- Installing, configuring, and setting up new equipment (e.g., workstations, cabling) to defined standards
- Maintaining records for tech assets and supporting audits of equipment inventory
- Proactive support on matchdays, including occasional out-of-hours assistance for events and emergency hardware needs
- Monitoring and troubleshooting IPTV screens and digital signage to ensure seamless delivery during matches

Your Daily Responsibilities

Technical Support
- Provide fast, responsive frontline troubleshooting for issues across hardware, software, and networking
- Deliver clear, practical solutions to technical challenges

Equipment Setup & Configuration
- Install, configure, and deploy new workstations, computers, and networking equipment to the required specifications

Asset Management
- Support equipment audits and upkeep to ensure records remain accurate
- Track inventory and assess stock levels

Flexible Support
- Assist with ad hoc hardware rollouts, desk relocations, and event setups, including out-of-hours coverage when necessary

Matchday Logistics
- Perform pre-match checks for IPTV screens and digital signage
- Validate content display and troubleshoot first-line technical faults to optimise fan experience

Essential Requirements
- Passion for Technology – A strong interest in tech with a drive to develop skills and learn within the field
- IT Foundations – Practical knowledge of:
- Computer hardware (e.g., PCs, peripherals)
- Software installation and configuration
- Basic networking principles (e.g., connectivity, troubleshooting)
- Problem-Solving Abilities – Ability to diagnose technical issues logically and implement effective fixes
- Customer-Centric Communication – Skilled in:
- Explaining technical concepts clearly and professionally
- Providing outstanding service to clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Flexible Availability
- Willingness to support matchdays, events, and out-of-hours requests
