Material Handler – Critical Role
About the Role
As our new Material Handler, you will ensure the accurate and efficient movement of all materials to and from our plants, strictly in compliance with company operating procedures and HSE legislation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Receiving, storing, and dispatching materials
- Maintaining accurate stock records
- Supporting inventory control processes to ensure continuous operational efficiency
This role demands a high level of attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and strong ability to coordinate with internal teams to meet production and delivery deadlines. You’ll also contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment, while identifying opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the efficient running of the Logistics function while ensuring full compliance with HSE legislation and company procedures
- Safely move materials to and from production areas, including tanker off-loading
- Accurately complete all documentation and system transactions in a timely manner
- Conduct daily inspections of FLT/MHE equipment, reporting maintenance needs promptly
- Uphold high standards of housekeeping, safety, and professional collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders

Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Strong communication skills with a deep understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- A valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Experience in logistics, warehouse, or stores environments
- The ability to work to high standards, adapt to changing priorities, and function effectively as part of a team
- Reliability, flexibility, and self-motivation with an unwavering attention to detail
