Material Handler

Material Handler

The Material Handler will work closely with the Materials Manager and Production Value Stream Leaders to ensure that production materials are:

  • Kitted
  • Distributed to production cells at the right time and in the right quantity
  • Stock levels verified for accuracy

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizing booked materials into the designated cell and correct bin
  • Managing Parts bin sizes to optimize space utilization based on demand
  • Conducting frequent cycle counting of parts
  • Performing data entry in Excel and maintaining reports
  • Kitting parts for production and shipping
  • Managing and triggering Kanban cards and maintaining the Kanban board
  • Maintaining IMaG – Inventory Management At Gemba materials presentation

Experience & Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience within an inventory/logistics environment
  • Maths & English GCSE or equivalent at Grade C or above
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to follow projects through from start to finish
  • Valid forklift and reach truck license
  • Full clean driving license

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Oracle systems (preferred)
