Job title: Materials Planner

Location: Belfast - On site

Type: Permanent (You will work a 4 day week; Mon – Thurs)

An immediate and exciting vacancy for a Materials Planner to work in a high tech and fast moving manufacturing environment. An ideal role for someone already in a Material / Manufacturing Planner role or possibly a graduate in Business Management, Information Technology, Manufacturing or Engineering.


Our Opportunity

As Materials Planner you will plan the material requirements and manufacturing workflow in support of the Company’s production schedules. To provide KPIs to help drive manufacturing efficiency and continual improvements.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the continued development of manufacturing planning and execution systems.
  • Development and compilation of manufacturing KPIs in support of manufacturing improvements.
  • Analysis of manufacturing activities in terms of adherence to schedules and performance against targets.
  • Maintenance and management of parts supply through manufacturing systems.
  • Providing training and support to manufacturing staff on manufacturing systems.
  • Providing planning support to Work and Material Planning function.

About You

Applicants should be educated to degree level - preferably in Business Management, Information Technology, Manufacturing or Engineering or a proven background as a Material / Manufacturing Planner. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a high degree of interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. They must be able to follow projects and tasks through to completion. They must maintain a high standard of accuracy often under pressure to meet deadlines. They should be enthusiastic and motivated in their attitude to work. They should be confident to use their initiative with an innovative approach to problem solving.

Knowledge of Manufacturing Systems and an understanding of the principles of Material Planning are desirable.
