Material Planner
Junior Production Planner
Reporting to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager
About the Role

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimise resources, and contribute to the solutions that power and protect the world every day.
Your Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will:
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring resource optimisation and adherence to production timelines and specifications.
- Release manufacturing work orders and execute daily MRP (Material Requirements Planning) at plant level to meet production demands.
- Define operation sequences and lead times, aligning them with the master production schedule (MPS).
- Monitor schedule compliance, identify root causes of deviations, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Define and maintain inventory parameters within the ERP system, working closely with Buyers to optimise supplier performance.
- Align procurement planning (call-offs, requisitions, purchase orders) with Operations and GBS to manage material flows effectively.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of excess, obsolete, and aged inventory, driving cross-functional solutions for improvement.
- Prepare and present planning & fulfilment reports for leadership, providing actionable insights on performance trends and variances.

Requirements & Fit
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Proven knowledge of manufacturing planning, MRP, capacity planning, shop-floor control, and warehouse operations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MFG/Pro, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills for reporting and planning.
- Keen analytical mind, with a focus on spot patterns, optimise workflows, and improve efficiency.
- Strong stakeholder communication, with the ability to clearly articulate findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Problem-solving mentality, capable of proposing process improvements to leadership.
No degree specified—practical experience with measurable achievements in production environments is just as valuable.
