Materials Assistant (Bank) – The Park Hospital
Role Location: Nottingham Shift Pattern: Bank Shifts Salary: £12.79 per hour
The Park Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare, is seeking a Materials Assistant to join their materials team.
This is a bank role, working on an "as and when required" basis, where you will cover operational peaks and provide staff cover during annual leave or absence.
About the Role
As a Materials Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of the Materials Department. You will ensure efficient and high-quality materials management across the hospital, assisting hospital departments and central stores in maintaining stock levels while adhering to operational and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the day-to-day running of the materials department.
- Deliver a high-quality materials management service to all internal customers.
- Ensure stock availability through:
- Processing orders
- Replenishing pre-approved stock for central stores
- Supporting hospital departments with their materials needs
- Maintain specialist departmental paperwork and files in an accurate, appropriate, and readily accessible manner.
- Comply with all mandatory training requirements.
Requirements and Criteria
To apply, you must meet the following:
- A minimum of GCSE/O level in Mathematics and English (or equivalent).
- Proficient with PC use, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Relevant software and systems used in the department.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
