SRG are working with a global chemical manufacturer to help them find Material Controllers on a shift basis.
If you have experience working in a chemical manufacturing environment or a similar material controller role and are available for a new position, then this could be the perfect role for you.
The Role:
- Off load and load hazardous chemicals and hazardous waste in tankers or packages.
- Transfer packages to the production plants when requested, ensure the correct paperwork is raised and completed accurately and in full.
- Supply production plants in a timely fashion to support AI production.
- Support routine waste procedure from initiation to transferring to the Hazard Slab, including updating the appropriate electronic systems.
- Responsible for all tankers and drivers on site, including ensuring drivers work safely when on site, all tankers have the correct fittings, tank farm barriers are secure at all times, all delivery and collection documentation is correct, and all delivery weights and quantities are correct.
- Requesting raw material from the warehouse to support production demands, including reporting any late deliveries or collections.
- Carry out housekeeping duties to maintain a high visual standard on plant.
- Assist with preparation and charging of raw materials to the process as required by the Manufacturing Technician to maintain production rates as per the manufacturing plan.
- Assist with removal of final product from the discharge unit, as guided by the Manufacturing Technician. Ensure the bags meet the high standards required for final despatch from the plant.
- Carry out specific duties relating to production, supporting the Manufacturing Technician(s) in the delivery of safe Active Ingredient (AI) manufacture.
- Carry out duties to meet Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) requirements and support the achievement of production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements:
- Previous experience of Materials handling including loading and of loading vehicles or similar role
- Experience in a similar chemical manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial
- Current Fork Lift Truck Driving Licence would be beneficial but FLT experience also considered
- Planning and organisational skills including the ability to multi-task.
- Communication, Team Working and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated
