Materials & Logistics Coordinator – Muir of Ord
About the Role
Our team in Muir of Ord is seeking to recruit a Materials & Logistics Coordinator for a full-time, permanent position to support the organisation, storage, and distribution of materials while ensuring efficient workflow and accurate record-keeping.
Note: Flexibility in working hours is essential for this role.
Key Duties

Reception & Inspection of Goods: Receive and inspect all incoming goods, verifying that delivery documentation is accurate, complete, and processed efficiently.

Inventory & Dispatch Coordination: Prepare and verify goods for dispatch or collection, ensuring:
- All necessary documentation is completed correctly
- Costs are allocated to the right projects

Transportation Operations:
- Deliver and collect goods/materials from suppliers and client sites, strict adherence to site procedures.
- Operate RSE vehicles where applicable and suitable.

Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload goods/materials.

On-Demand Distribution: Provide timely delivery of raw materials, consumables, and PPE to production areas, ensuring stock replenishment.

Stock Management: Coordinate the movement and organisation of stock within stores and warehouses.

Safety & Compliance Records: Maintain up-to-date COSHH assessments and supplier certifications for materials and consumables.

Record-keeping & Inventory Tracking: Accurately record all stock movements and transactions in the computerised system within specified timeframes.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders across the business to support operational needs;

Stock Control & Audits: Conduct annual stock takes and routine inventory checks to ensure stock accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Industry Experience: Previous experience in Materials & Logistics or a similar industrial environment is essential.

Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication.

Self-Motivation & Adaptability: Self-motivated with the ability to:
- Work independently or as part of a team.
- Adapt to changing business requirements swiftly.
- Prioritise tasks efficiently under fluctuating workloads.

Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft software.

Technical Understanding: Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical components and sub-assemblies.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and resolve problems effectively while managing multiple priorities.

Driving Requirements:
- FLT Counterbalance licence is mandatory.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
