Job Title: Materials Planner
Location: Rochester; Kent; Onsite
Salary: Circa £27,000 depending on experience

Job Description:
This role is responsible for material planning using a Material Resource Planning (MRP) program as part of a Windows-based business system to ensure the availability of material for the manufacture of the company’s products.
Core duties:
- Ensure Works Orders are serialised including clear job material shortages
- Manage work order closure, tracking and batching size of work orders
- Review and process MRP exception messages
- Liaise with Procurement, Inward Goods, Stores and the Shop Floor
- Manage rework order release and internal allocation
- Control of electronic and physical movement of material, both internally and to vendors

Essential Skills:
- Demonstrate a high level of customer focus
- Stock deliveries and replenishing experience
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office
- Educated to GCSE level
The Materials Planning Team:
This is an exciting opportunity to work within an Integrated Project Team (IPT) where you will release Purchase Requisitions and Works Orders to buy components and build assemblies in accordance with a delivery schedule, communicating the requirements and status both within the IPT and extended internal team.
