MP&L Analyst

The MP&L Analyst is responsible for supporting Materials, Planning and Logistics activity for Standard Parts & Fasteners through accurate data analysis, reporting and material control. The role ensures the availability of production-critical standard components by monitoring inventory, supplier performance, delivery schedules and material readiness.

Working across ERP, MRP and inventory systems, the analyst converts operational data into clear actions, risks and recommendations to maintain production continuity and optimise stock control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all suppliers of standard parts and fasteners have sufficient order coverage to support the Production Plan.
  • Monitor the availability of production-critical standard components including fasteners, clips, fixings and catalogue parts.
  • Maintain and analyse material, inventory, supplier delivery and logistics data across ERP, MRP, Excel and other business systems.
  • Produce accurate MP&L reports covering stock accuracy, shortages, delivery performance, inventory levels, supplier performance and material availability.
  • Identify material shortages, supplier constraints and inventory risks that could impact vehicle build.
  • Monitor stock levels, delivery dates, open purchase orders and replenishment activity for high-volume standard parts.
  • Investigate stock discrepancies, system inaccuracies, delivery issues and inventory variances, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Support perpetual inventory and cycle count activities by analysing variances and maintaining accurate system records.
  • Work closely with Purchasing, Stores, Logistics, Manufacturing and Supplier teams to maintain material availability.
  • Support engineering changes and new vehicle programmes by maintaining commodity readiness trackers and open issue reports.
  • Maintain KPI reporting for inventory accuracy, supplier performance and material availability.
  • Analyse commodity performance data and identify opportunities to improve inventory control, supplier performance and material flow.
  • Support continuous improvements to stock management, replenishment processes, goods receipt and reporting.
  • Provide recommendations to improve inventory accuracy, planning discipline and operational efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
