Materials & Sales Controller

Plymouth

£25,000 - £32,000

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Monday to Thursday 8:15 to 16:45 and Friday 08:15 to 13:45

Yolk Recruitment are partnered with this leading high-precision manufacturing business as they continue to grow. With a strong history of secure long term contracts the business has always offered security and the opportunity to develop in a well run, world class operation, manufacturing high quality components.

In this role you will play a key role in ensuring materials are available to support production and that customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time. Working closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams, you'll help maintain an efficient supply chain while providing proactive support to keep operations running smoothly.

This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract starting end of August.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate material planning, purchasing and inventory activities to ensure production requirements and customer demand are met.
  • Process and manage purchase orders and sales orders accurately within SAP, maintaining up-to-date records and delivery schedules.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, customers and internal teams to resolve supply or order issues and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Monitor inventory levels, expedite or reschedule material deliveries, and proactively identify and escalate potential supply risks.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across Sales, Operations and Production Planning to drive supply chain performance.

The Experience You'll Need:

  • Experience in a supply chain, materials planning, purchasing, inventory management, sales administration or customer service role within a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, ideally SAP or SAP Cloud ERP, with experience managing purchasing, inventory and sales orders.
  • Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond proactively to changing demands.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience working collaboratively with suppliers, customers and cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with a commitment to maintaining accurate data and delivering excellent customer service.
