Job details John Turner Consulting, Inc. (JTC) is seeking an experienced Regional Materials Testing Manager to support operations across its Maine and New Hampshire offices. The role is ideal for a senior construction materials professional with 15+ years’ experience in laboratory and field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, masonry, and other construction materials in line with ASTM standards.

What you will do Lead and support field and laboratory teams, ensuring productivity and operational efficiency across multiple sites. Drive quality standards through internal audits, QA/QC reviews, reporting, and continuous process improvements. Recruit, train, and develop high performing technical staff while maintaining accurate training records. Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients. Ensure laboratory state accreditations and compliance standards are consistently maintained. Review timesheets, PTO requests, proposals, and staffing requirements to support business demands. Adapt to changing operational needs with flexibility to support varying schedules and workloads.
Who you are Strong understanding of ASTM, CCRL, and NVLAP standards and testing procedures. ACI Certifications required. Proven ability to manage and lead annual laboratory accreditation processes. Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50lbs, including soil and concrete samples. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Full valid driver’s licence with a clean/acceptable driving record.
