Air Cargo Week is looking for a hands-on News Reporter to join our editorial team on a maternity cover basis, supporting our flagship weekly newspaper, newsletters, website and digital platforms.
Founded in 1998, Air Cargo Week is a leading global media brand dedicated to the air cargo and logistics industry. We deliver trusted, independent journalism and insight to professionals across airlines, airports, freight forwarders, logistics providers and supply chain organisations through print, digital and live channels.
This is an exciting opportunity for a journalist with a strong news sense and passion for B2B reporting to join a specialist publication covering one of the world’s most dynamic industries.
The Role
The News Reporter will be responsible for producing accurate, timely and engaging content across ACW’s editorial channels, including:
News & Website
- Publishing daily industry news and updates through WordPress.
- Writing original news stories, interviews and breaking news reports.
- Editing, refining and summarising content before publication.
- Monitoring multiple information sources and applying independent editorial judgement to identify the most relevant stories.
- Managing website content flow and ensuring timely coverage of key industry developments.

Social Media and Digital Content
- Managing and promoting editorial content across LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Planning, writing and scheduling social media posts.
- Supporting the creation of visual and multimedia content with the design team.
- Tracking content performance and using analytics insights to support audience growth.
Interviews & Features
- Arranging and conducting interviews with senior industry executives via Zoom, telephone and in person.
- Writing exclusive interviews and feature articles for the weekly newspaper.
- Developing engaging editorial angles and delivering content to meet publishing deadlines.
- Building strong relationships with industry contacts and contributors.
Events & Industry Engagement
- Representing Air Cargo Week at industry events, briefings and conferences.
- Conducting interviews and gathering content on location.
- Producing follow-up coverage and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders.
- Supporting editorial engagement through company visits and industry meetings where required.

The Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a journalist, ideally within a B2B, trade or specialist publication.
- Has a strong understanding of news writing, digital publishing and editorial workflows.
- Is confident interviewing senior executives and developing industry relationships.
- Can work independently, manage deadlines and prioritise competing editorial demands.
- Has excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and journalistic standards.
- Is experienced using WordPress and familiar with social media publishing.
- Understands what makes engaging content for online and print audiences.
- Is comfortable working with breaking news and fast-paced industry developments.
- Communicates fluently and professionally in English.
- Experience within aviation, air cargo, logistics, transport or supply chain sectors would be advantageous.
