Teaching Assistant: Autumn Term Start
Maternity cover: Full Time temporary contract
We are looking to recruit a happy, reliable and capable individual to join our friendly team.
This is predominantly to be class based support for the children in our Early years and Year One classroom.
If you can work in a team, support children in their social, emotional and academic development and have a passion for teaching and learning, then this may be the ideal opportunity for you.
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of supporting children within the primary age range/school setting;
- Have experience/interest in working with children with specific and/or complex needs;
- Have high expectations for our children’s progress and overall achievement;
- Take an imaginative and creative approach to curriculum learning that captures the children’s interest;
- Be flexible, forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic;
- Have an understanding of how children learn, including social/emotional development;
- Have a passion for quality teaching and learning, enabling the best outcomes for our children;
- Be able to work well as part of our whole school team, school federation and the school community;
- Be willing to undertake relevant training;
- Support our Christian ethos as a church school;

Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)
This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.

Salary: TA2/SCP 5-6, £16,337-£16,596 per annum
