Kensington Tutoring Network is a specialist STEM tutoring agency connecting students in London and beyond with high-calibre tutors, many from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, and other Russell Group universities.
We focus on Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at GCSE, A Level and IB, working with students who are aiming for top grades and places at leading universities. Every tutor is chosen for both subject mastery and the ability to explain it clearly.
Our approach is one-on-one and tailored to each student, with a learning plan built around their specific goals, whether that's closing a grade gap or pushing from strong to exceptional. We track progress closely so families can see real movement, not just reassurance.

Role Description
This is a flexible, part-time role delivering one-on-one tutoring to GCSE and A Level students, delivering sessions online. You'll plan and deliver clear, engaging lessons in Mathematics and/or Physics, tailored to each student's exam board and current level of understanding.
You'll help students prepare for exams, work through coursework and past papers, and give regular feedback so families can see real progress. Where appropriate, you'll also update parents on how their child is doing.
You'll be part of a small team of tutors matched to students by the agency, so there's no need to find your own clients or handle billing. We'll ask you to keep brief notes on student progress and stay in touch with us so we can support you and keep sessions running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (or current final-year study) in Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related STEM subject from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, or another Russell Group university is required.
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics and/or Physics, with the ability to teach confidently up to A Level standard.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain concepts in more than one way, adapting to how each student learns best.
- Familiarity with GCSE and A Level exam boards (e.g. AQA, Edexcel) and exam technique is highly beneficial.
- Comfortable teaching online.
- Tutoring or teaching experience with secondary and upper sixth students is preferred but not essential for strong candidates.
- A genuine interest in helping students build both grades and confidence, particularly those aiming for top university places.

Pay
£28-32/hour depending on level, paid monthly at the end of every month.
