Mathematics Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your years of advanced mathematical training could directly shape how AI reasons through complex problems — for millions of people around the world? We're looking for Mathematics Experts with Masters or PhD-level credentials to help build and refine the mathematical reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll bring your deep expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to work that genuinely matters — helping AI think more rigorously, accurately, and powerfully.

Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
  • Design complex, nuanced problem statements that test and expand AI reasoning capabilities
  • Apply deep expertise across algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related domains
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to improve model performance
  • Ensure mathematical rigor, clarity, and depth across every deliverable you produce
  • Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
