Mathematics Expert (AI Training)

About The Role

What if your years of advanced mathematical training could directly shape how AI reasons through the world's hardest problems? We're looking for Mathematics Experts — Masters and PhD holders — to help build and improve the mathematical reasoning capabilities of cutting-edge AI models.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You'll work asynchronously alongside world-class AI researchers, applying your deep expertise to problems that genuinely matter.

Organization: Alignerr

Type: Hourly Contract

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You'll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
  • Design complex, rigorous problem statements drawing on your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance the reasoning capabilities of AI models
  • Evaluate the mathematical quality, clarity, and depth of AI-generated solutions and proofs
  • Ensure every deliverable meets the highest standards of mathematical rigor

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
