Mathematics Specialist (Masters/PhDs) – AI Training

About the Role

What if your expertise in advanced mathematics could directly shape how AI reasons, solves problems, and thinks through complexity for millions of people around the world?

We’re looking for Mathematics Specialists—Masters’ and PhD holders—to work alongside leading AI research teams and help build the next generation of intelligent systems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed—just deep mathematical expertise and a sharp eye for rigor and precision.

  • Location: Remote
  • Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, solve, and critically review advanced mathematical problems with real-world relevance
  • Apply your expertise in algebra, calculus, statistics, discrete mathematics, or related areas to design complex, meaningful problem statements
  • Evaluate AI-generated mathematical reasoning for correctness, depth, and clarity
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to strengthen model performance
  • Ensure mathematical rigor, precision, and intellectual depth across all deliverables
  • Work independently on task-based assignments—fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

  • Qualifications:

    • Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field
    • Deep expertise in one or more of:
      • Algebra
      • Calculus
      • Statistics
      • Discrete mathematics
  • Technical Skills:

    • Comfortable working with Python, MATLAB, Mathematica, or similar tools for mathematical computation
  • Communication & Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional written communication skills—youcan explain complex ideas with clarity and precision
    • Naturally detail-oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to problem-solving
    • Fluent in English

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation workflows
  • Background in mathematical modelling, applied mathematics, or computational research
