- Working alongside class teachers in Mathematics lessons across KS3, KS4, and sixth form on a full-time basis
- Supporting individual pupils and small groups within lessons to access and engage with the curriculum
- Providing in-the-moment support to pupils requiring additional explanation or reinforcement of key concepts
- Assisting sixth form students with mathematical reasoning and problem-solving during A-Level lessons
- Building consistent, encouraging relationships with pupils at every level to develop their confidence in Maths
Maths Classroom Support - What the School is Looking For
The ideal Maths Classroom Support candidate will hold a 2:1 or 1st Class degree from a top 30 UK university, ideally in Mathematics, a STEM subject, or a closely related numerate discipline. Previous child-centred experience in a UK educational setting is highly valued. The school is seeking a patient, mathematically confident, and proactive Maths Classroom Support worker with strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.

Maths Classroom Support - Salary and Contract Info
- £444 per week, pro rata to term time only
- Full-time, long-term contract from September 2026 to July 2027
- Term-time only
- Potential for extended contracts or teacher training pathways following a successful placement
