Maths and English Tutor
We are currently recruiting for a qualified Maths & English Tutor at Prospero Teaching to support students in Ealing. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and passionate educator who is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Role Details
- Position: Maths & English Tutor
- Location: Ealing
- Pay Rate: £25.00 - £30.00 per hour
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths and English tuition sessions tailored to individual learning needs.
- Develop personalised lesson plans and learning strategies to support student progress.
- Work closely with students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to suit their specific requirements.
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
- Build positive and professional relationships with students, parents/carers, and relevant professionals.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Maths and English.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Strong understanding of differentiated learning approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable Skills & Experience

- Experience delivering 1:1 tuition.
- Knowledge of EHCPs and supporting students with additional learning needs.
- Experience working with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or other SEN requirements.
- Ability to engage and motivate students who may have barriers to learning.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
