Are you a Maths Graduate looking to begin your journey into teaching?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths Graduate to join a high-performing secondary school in Barnet as a Trainee Maths Teacher from September 2026.

The Trainee Maths Teacher role is ideal for a Maths Graduate passionate about inspiring young people in Mathematics and eager to work toward QTS through a well-established SCITT programme.


Key Details

  • Role: Full-Time, Permanent Trainee Maths Teacher
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Salary (training period): £28,000 per year
  • Post-QTS progression: Up to £37,870+
  • Qualification: Strong Maths degree (minimum 2:1, Russell Group desirable)
  • A-Level requirement: A or A in Maths*
  • Responsibilities:
    • Support GCSE and A-Level Maths students through classroom learning, interventions, and small-group sessions
    • Complete a structured SCITT programme leading to QTS
    • Receive dedicated mentoring and professional development
