Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

Full-Time September 2026 Start Mainstream Primary School Romford

Are you a high-achieving Maths Graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching?

A welcoming and ambitious mainstream primary school in Romford is seeking a dedicated Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This full-time position is ideal for a recent graduate who is passionate about education and keen to support pupils in developing their mathematical confidence and ability.

The Role

As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, helping to raise attainment and foster a positive attitude towards mathematics.

  • Delivering targeted maths interventions to individuals and small groups.
  • Supporting pupils with numeracy, problem-solving, reasoning, and arithmetic skills.
  • Assisting teachers in planning and preparing engaging learning activities.
  • Supporting pupils who require additional academic support.
  • Helping children develop confidence and resilience within the classroom.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Supporting wider classroom learning when required.
