Maths Lead
Teacher (Primary or Secondary) - Queensmead House School
Location: Windsor, with views of Windsor Castle Hours: Full-time Salary: £58,941 + Talent Related Living Adjustment (TLR)

About the Role
Witherslack Group provides inclusive, high-quality education for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN). We equip learners with the skills to flourish, build confidence, and develop independence—backed by dedicated support teams, including psychologists, therapists, and teaching assistants.
You’ll work at Queensmead House School (QHS), a ** Specialist SEND day school** rated Good by Ofsted, situated on a historic site with inspiring landscapes. Our staff are highly trained, and our collaborations with families are proactive and empowering.
Key Responsibilities
As a Teacher (primary or secondary), you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons to cater to diverse learning needs, including:
- SEN, particularly Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- Communication difficulties (e.g., speech, language, non-verbal learning)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Behavioural challenges
- Build supportive relationships with pupils, ensuring emotional needs are met alongside academic goals.
- Collaborate with Specialist therapists, Senior Leaders, and support staff to personalise education.
- Monitor student progress using lawful safeguarding frameworks, providing holistic assessment and recommendations.
- Involve parents in progress and support strategies, fostering partnerships for success.
- Resources and develops peers, contributing to a collegial working environment.
- Ensure rigorously inclusive practice aligns with Ofsted Good grade, upheld by high-teed safeguarding & welfare protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification.
- Proven teaching experience in a setting that supports SEN and SEMH is essential.
- Commitment to lifelong learning with processes like CPD committed to supporting ongoing professional development.
- A deep understanding of individual needs and ability to accommodate Communication & Sensory differences.
- Patient, caring, and resilient approach with empathy for diverse abilities.
- Flexible mindset to adapt routines and approaches according to inclusion needs.
- Safeguarding awareness/commitment to robust Safer Recruitment practices.
