Maths Lecturer - Permanent Full-Time Role

The Role
As a Maths Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality teaching that engages, challenges, and supports learners in 16-18 and adult provision. You will work collaboratively within a supportive department committed to continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured Maths lessons, including schemes of work
- Designing and implementing learner-centred assessment with clear, developmental feedback
- Monitoring and supporting learner attendance, progress, and achievement
- Providing coaching and pastoral support to designated learners
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive environment while promoting positive behaviours
- Keeping subject knowledge current to ensure teaching remains relevant and employability-focused
- Actively engaging in professional development and quality improvement activity
Requirements
We seek a motivated educator who is passionate about Maths and learner progression. Ideal candidates meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification with experience teaching in Further or Higher Education
- Hold a qualification in Maths (or a related field) and are willing to pursue a teaching qualification via our Passport to Teaching programme>)?
Must Include:
- A learner-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Organisational and administrative strengths (e.g., accurate learner data tracking)
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to support colleagues and share goals
- A commitment to equity, safeguarding, and inclusive practice
