Are you an experienced Maths and Science teacher looking for an exciting new challenge? We are currently seeking expressions of interest on behalf of one of our specialist education clients as they prepare to open a brand-new provision in Wolverhampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a developing educational setting from the outset, helping to establish a positive and inclusive learning environment where young people are encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are looking for a dedicated and adaptable teacher with the ability to deliver engaging Maths and Science lessons while supporting students with a range of individual learning needs.
The Role
As the Maths & Science Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across both subject areas, adapting your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners and helping students develop confidence, resilience and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals, you will play a key role in creating a supportive learning environment where every student is encouraged to succeed, regardless of the barriers they may have previously faced.

This role is ideal for a teacher who enjoys working in a nurturing setting, embraces creative approaches to teaching and is committed to improving outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective Maths and Science lessons that meet the needs of learners with a range of abilities.
- Plan, prepare and adapt lessons to ensure learning is accessible, challenging and enjoyable.
- Monitor student progress, assess achievement and use assessment data to inform future planning.
- Encourage curiosity, problem-solving and critical thinking through practical and engaging learning experiences.
- Support pupils in achieving personalised learning goals and EHCP outcomes where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop high-quality teaching practices and share ideas.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, carers and external professionals.
- Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance and engagement.
- Contribute to the development of a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
About You
The Successful Candidate Will Ideally Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching both Maths and Science within mainstream, specialist or alternative provision settings.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons across Key Stages.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching and learning.
- A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to education and achieve positive outcomes.
