ROLE: Maths Teacher

FY8 Area, Lancashire
Pay:
GBP147 - GBP247 per day (dependent on experience and whether PAYE or Umbrella)
Start Date:
September 2026 (or sooner for the right candidate)

Maths Teacher
Reeson Education is proud to be partnering with a specialist secondary setting in the FY8 area to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher for a full-time, long-term position.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maths Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist school environment, working with pupils who require a more tailored and therapeutic approach to education. The school supports young people with additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties, social and emotional needs, and associated learning challenges.
The successful Maths Teacher will play a vital role in helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning, whilst delivering engaging and accessible mathematics lessons.
Maths Teacher: The Role
As a Maths Teacher, You Will
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Adapt the curriculum to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles
- Create a calm, structured and supportive classroom environment
- Support pupils academic progress, emotional regulation and personal development
- Monitor progress and use assessment effectively to inform planning
- Work closely with teaching assistants and wider support staff
- Contribute towards EHCP targets and individual learning outcomes
- Foster confidence, resilience and independence in learners
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- Promote high standards of achievement and behaviour

Maths Teacher: Essential Requirements
The Ideal Maths Teacher Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, SEND or Autism
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A calm, patient and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
- Experience adapting learning for a range of abilities and needs
