Academics are recruiting on behalf of a residential SEN school in Andover which caters for young people aged 11-19 years with a primary diagnosis of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour. All young people have an EHCP.
They are looking to appoint a passionate and engaging Maths Teacher with QTS to join them on a full-time contract starting in September.
- They currently have 38 students on roll.
- Class sizes are small, no more than 6 pupils in a class.
- This allows you to tailor your lessons to meet their individual learning needs.
- Students follow the National Curriculum and work towards taking GCSE's in yr11.

Responsibilities:
- The successful Maths Teacher will be required to plan and deliver Maths lessons across the school.
- Experience of working in an SEN school would be an advantage, although not essential.
- You will however have experience of teaching children with SEN, ideally autism/aspergers syndrome.
- The suitable Maths Teacher will be calm, empathetic, nurturing and be able to build positive relationships.

Location:
- The main school building in Andover is a large country house set in 8 acres of grounds which provide a beautiful and secure setting for outdoor activities.
- Ideally suited to a driver due to the rural location.
