In the heart of Newham, an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School is recruiting for a dynamic Maths Teacher (Permanent) or a Maths ECT (Early Career Teacher).

Key Responsibilities
- Efficient planning and delivery of KS3/4 Maths lessons, aligning to curriculum and Ofsted standards
- Inspire a growth mindset in students through engaging and targeted instruction
- Teaching Standards Compliance: Adhere to 8 Teaching Standards (meeting ‘Good or Outstanding’ levels across)
- Work collaboratively within a team of Secondary Maths educators, contributing to departmental development
- Provide constructive peer feedback and incorporate supportive coaching
Essential Criteria (Person Specification)
✅ UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – currently obtained or post-graduation pathway engaged
✅ Distinguished academic background reflecting:
- Degree (Preferred: STEM-related field, though exceptional educators welcome)
- Strong A-Level Maths qualification (or equivalent)
- Grade 9-4 GCSE Maths (or international equivalent)
✅ Outstanding classroom teaching aligning with Teaching Standards, demonstrating:
- Consistently ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ practice (emphasis on lesson feedback & impact assessment)
✅ Collaborative skills: Readiness to contribute in team-focused discussions, mentor colleagues, and foster a positive learning environment
