Full Job Description

Role: Maths Teacher

Location:

Park School, Chipping Norton, OX7 5QH

Salary:

Up to £48,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Hours:

37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm

Contract:

Permanent, Term-Time

Start:

November 2026

About the Role

As our Maths Teacher, you'll deliver inspiring and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of every pupil, enabling them to make excellent academic and personal progress.

Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you'll create an engaging classroom where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to learn. You'll play an integral role in helping young people overcome barriers to learning while preparing them for future success.

You may also take on the role of Form Tutor, supporting pupils' pastoral development, working alongside families and professionals, and leading a team of Teaching Assistants to ensure every learner receives the personalised support they need.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver engaging, creative and differentiated Maths lessons that inspire every learner.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching that enables pupils to achieve their individual targets.
  • Create an inclusive, nurturing and positive learning environment where every pupil can thrive.
  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to maximise achievement.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and digital recording tools to celebrate progress and inform future learning.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional and personal development alongside their academic progress.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and wider school life.

About You

  • QTS/QTLS or equivalent required.
  • Experience teaching Maths across secondary age pupils.
  • High expectations and a genuine belief that every child can succeed.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • The ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs.
  • Experience working within an SEN or specialist setting is desirable but not essential.
