Role: Maths Teacher - SEND

Location: Bolton

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 PA

Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Leader Group is proud to be partnering with a renowned Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit a passionate Maths Teacher. We currently have an outstanding opportunity available within a new SEN School opening soon in Bolton.

About The Role

To specialise in leading and delivering Maths up to GCSE level to KS3 and KS4 aged pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher that has experience teaching pupils with ASC and additional behavioural needs to join a specialist team within a new school opening in September 2026. As part of a nurturing and innovative team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
  • Teach pupils aged KS3 and KS4.
  • Delivering engaging and tailored Maths lessons to individual learning needs.
  • Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework, and assessments.
  • Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively.

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Passionate about working with students with SEND needs.
  • Specialism in teaching Maths is essential.
  • Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar setting supporting pupils with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and additional needs. Including mainstream schools.
  • Qualified – QTS is essential.
  • Understands EHCPs and autism-informed practice.
  • Calm, organised and passionate about teaching and making a difference.
