About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Engineering MDM (Master Data Management) Manager to lead the assessment, governance, and optimization of engineering and product master data across complex manufacturing environments. This role focuses on reviewing legacy PLM and ERP-driven data models, processes, and integrations, assessing their alignment to best practice, and driving a fit-to-standard data strategy. You will ensure that engineering data is structured, governed, and aligned across systems and functions—enabling consistency from design through manufacturing and into service.

You will take a cross-domain perspective, understanding how engineering data decisions impact downstream processes in manufacturing, supply chain, and service, particularly within SAP-centric landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the assessment of engineering master data, PLM systems, and related processes, identifying gaps in quality, governance, and structure.
  • Define and implement MDM strategies and governance frameworks for product and engineering data.
  • Conduct fit-to-standard reviews, aligning legacy data models and processes to best practice and platform standards.
  • Drive data harmonization and standardization across PLM and SAP (ECC / S/4HANA) environments.
  • Own and optimize key data objects including:
    • Material masters
    • Various kinds of BOMs used in Manufacturing, Aftermarket. For example - EBOM, MBOM, SBOM, etc.
    • Document and specification data
    • Engineering change records
  • Ensure alignment of engineering data across engineering, manufacturing, and service domains, managing cross-functional dependencies and impacts.
  • Define and improve data lifecycle processes, including creation, change, release, and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to improve data quality, governance, and ownership models.
  • Support transformation initiatives including PLM modernization, SAP programmes, and digital thread enablement.
  • Lead workshops and provide thought leadership on data-driven transformation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
