Are you an organised, proactive and patient focused administrator looking to develop your career within specialist cancer services?
We are seeking an enthusiastic MDT Coordinator Assistant to join our Head and Neck Cancer team, supporting the delivery of high-quality care to patients throughout their cancer pathway.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the centre of a busy multidisciplinary service, helping to coordinate complex patient journeys from referral through to treatment. Working closely with clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals and operational teams, you will play an important role in ensuring patients receive timely care in line with national cancer standards while contributing to service improvement initiatives and pathway development.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Head and Neck MDT team in coordinating and monitoring complex cancer pathways to ensure patients progress through diagnosis and treatment within national cancer waiting time standards, including the Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) and 62-day pathways.
- Support the management of referrals from a variety of sources, including Inter-Trust Referrals (ITRs)
- Work closely with internal and external organisations to ensure seamless care for patients referred to our specialist Head and Neck service
- Attendance at weekly MDT meetings to support preparation of meeting materials, recording and communication of outcomes, and facilitating timely progression of surgical and treatment pathways
- Work closely with clinicians and operational teams to identify and escalate delays, support surgical planning and capacity management, and contribute to the proactive management of patient tracking lists
- Support the maintenance and validation of cancer pathway data
- Contribute to COSD and other national reporting requirements
- Assist with virtual clinic outcomes to ensure follow-up appointments, investigations and discharge arrangements are actioned promptly and accurately
