BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a M&E BIM Coordinator (Building Services) for the Northern Construction business, with a strong focus on Stage 5 & 6 project delivery. The role will be based from our Regional office in Leeds.
Making Possible
- Work as part of a team or on an individual basis to carry out MEP coordination on projects up to RIBA Stage 6
- Take ownership of Stage 5 (Construction) and Stage 6 (Handover) M&E coordination, ensuring models are fully coordinated, buildable and aligned to site delivery requirements
- Use all current software available to deliver drawings and models in a timely manner with all relevant information and data included.
- Develop and manage coordinated, installation-ready models, transitioning design intent into construction-ready information
- Work closely with project designers and engineers to ensure that full collaboration is reached in order to achieve the required scope of works and hit key project dates.
- Lead coordination with subcontractors and site teams to resolve clashes and ensure coordinated services can be delivered on programme
- An important aspect of the role is to be able to work in a common data environment continuously showing development within a project by using online platforms such as BIM360, Autodesk Forma.
- Advocate knowledge sharing to all members of the project teams
- Engaging with Project delivery teams and encouraging collaboration from early design stage to final handover.
- Actively participate in and lead coordination workshops, driving issue resolution and accountability across disciplines
- REVIT MEP Family/Content Library updates
- Development of REVIT MEP Master Templates
- Undertaking periodic clash detection of services within BIM models.
- Manage clash detection, issue tracking and resolution workflows using tools such as Navisworks
- Support digital handover requirements, including production of accurate as-built models and asset information

What do you bring to the role?
- Experience within the Building Services industry
- Proven experience as an M&E BIM Coordinator within live construction projects, particularly at RIBA Stage 5 and 6
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, installation constraints, and on-site coordination challenges
- Demonstrable experience resolving complex M&E clashes and delivering coordinated, buildable solutions
- Ability to manage federated models and ensure accuracy, compliance, and coordination across all disciplines
- Keen to learn and progress within the CAD/BIM team and company.
- Confident leading coordination meetings/workshops and working directly with subcontractors and delivery teams
- Capable or working on an individual basis or as part of a team and able to manage own time and workload where appropriate.
- Efficient user of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks.
- Experience using clash detection and issue management platforms (e.g. Navisworks, or similar) in a live project environment
- Efficient user of office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
- Able to communicate well with colleagues, engineers, line manager. Raising any concerns/queries they may have in the right way.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards, BEPs, and information requirements, with the ability to apply and enforce them during delivery stages
- Experience contributing to project close-out, including as-built model development and digital handover
