We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Estimator to join our Belfast team, playing a key role in delivering hassle-free environments for clients and supporting engineers with expertise.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Contracts Director, we are looking for a professional who can bring proven knowledge of estimating practices, commercial awareness, and the ability to influence outcomes across complex contracts. - Location: Redditch
- Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday, 40 Hours
- Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

- Managing diverse contracts across both Public and Private sectors throughout the UK and Ireland.
- Conducting site surveys to assess building services and evaluate tender requirements.
- Engaging with clients and stakeholders to identify service needs and develop cost-effective, planned and reactive maintenance strategies.
- Preparing accurate cost estimates by inputting labour resources, materials, and specialist contractor prices into the Estimating Programme.
- Developing bid strategies in collaboration with the business development team to optimise contract award success.
- Participating in tender finalisation meetings to evaluate and refine proposals.
- Supporting procurement and operations teams during contract mobilisation.
- Building comprehensive market knowledge, including competitor analysis and delivery strategy options.
About You
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in either Mechanical, HVAC or Electrical Services trades and with a minimum of two years experience in an estimation role post trade qualification or Building Services qualification HNC/HND with a minimum of two years experience in an estimating role.
- Demonstrate strong communication and technical skills.
- Experience working with a computer-based cost management system, as well as proficient in the use of Microsoft excel & Word.
- The ability to positively engage with clients to gain an understanding of their current delivery model with a view to tailoring our bid to ensure best strategic delivery, value for money and first best in class service.
- Wide experience in the hard services industry, including mechanical, electrical, building fabric and specialist maintenance

Desirable Criteria:
- Comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitors and potential growth opportunities.
- Experience estimating Planned & Reactive maintenance contracts.
- Experience in minor maintenance project works.
- Experience in new energy efficient low carbon technologies.
- Previous experience and knowledge of NEC3, NEC4, JCT & GC Works contracts
- Experience delivering maintenance services including Mechanical, Electrical and other specialist services would be advantageous e.g., catering, air conditioning, gas etc.
