Director of Practice and Clinical Services Salary up to £80,000 DOE Mearley Veterinary Group – Lancashire (Clitheroe/Accrington/Barrowford) Full Time, Flexible, Accommodation available if required Mearley Vets part of inspiring vet care has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Practice and Clinical Services to join our team! The Director of Practice and Clinical Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations and leading the practice whilst working closely with the clinical team to drive high standards of care and achieve commercial success. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and commercially aware Veterinary Surgeon looking to join a supportive practice and to step in to a leadership role. You’ll oversee clinical governance, quality improvement, and performance across services, working closely with operational leaders to drive excellent patient outcomes, sustainable service delivery, and a strong clinical culture. Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will maintain an active clinical caseload, supporting and mentoring colleagues across the practice.
- Full-time role working 40 hours a week across 4 or 5 days
- Working 1 in 4 Saturdays 9am – 1pm
- Approximately 75% clinical with dedicated leadership responsibilities
- Must be flexible to rotate hours between 9am and 7pm
- No out-of-hours or on-call commitments

- You are an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for leadership, clinical excellence, and team development. You’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a senior or leadership role within veterinary practice
- Strong clinical expertise with the confidence to support complex case discussions and decision-making
- A collaborative and people-focused leadership style, with experience mentoring and developing others
- The ability to drive clinical standards, governance, and continuous improvement
