NVQ Level 3 certification 2. Evidence of time-served apprenticeship Position Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanic to join the EOS team, based in Derby. The Engine Overhaul Services (EOS) facility is 27,000m2, with ~550 employees, and operational for 20hrs a day, 365 days a year. As the only wholly-owned Large Engine MRO facility, with capability to maintain all modern Trent engines, EOS is fundamental to the future success of Civil Aerospace. Our Mechanics complete engine maintenance, modifications, and inspections on The Trent series of engines within the workshop facility. On occasion, you may be required to provide ad-hoc customer support, away from base. However, for the most part, this is a workshop-based role. This is a fast-paced role due to set timescales and you’ll be working as part of a team of nine supporting the wider operation. You will work an overlay shift pattern covering weekends and bank holidays, with an attractive shift premium. Work with us we’ll provide an environment where you can be yourself. Component inspection and engine level inspection. Conduct engine maintenance, modification, and inspections. EASA/CAA/FAA Form 1 release to service of engines and components. Experience working with gas turbine engines. Awareness of EASA Part 145 standards. A level of ability, competency and knowledge is required to work towards eventually achieving approval to complete Form 1 release to service. A self-starter, with a flexible approach and ability to work on own initiative with great teamwork. PC literate. Applicants will be time served and have completed an engineering modern advanced apprenticeship with a minimum of City & Guilds Level 3, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ)/Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 3 or equivalent.
