About the role

Imperial College London is seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Compliance Manager to lead technical compliance assurance across mechanical, electrical, and related building systems across all Imperial campuses.

Working within the Property Division’s Centre of Expertise, you will play a key role in ensuring that M&E assets, systems, and maintenance activities meet statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements. You will provide technical assurance to senior leaders on safety, reliability, and compliance performance, helping to maintain safe, resilient, and well-managed campus environments.

What you would be doing

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee technical compliance across M&E and related building systems
  • Ensure statutory inspections, certification, maintenance records, and PPM schedules are accurate, complete, and aligned with relevant standards
  • Use compliance and maintenance data to identify risks, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities, escalating issues where required
  • Provide expert advice on M&E compliance risks, support audits, assurance activity, and incident investigations
  • Help maintain clear policies, procedures, and technical standards
  • Work with contractors, statutory inspection providers, and internal teams to monitor performance, support safe working practices, and provide clear reporting to senior management on compliance, safety, and regulatory performance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
