Midlands & South Yorkshire area (Flexible)
Full time/permanent

We are hiring a Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to join our growing Environmental Protection Solutions (EPS) advisory and compliance business.
You'll manage technical and engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring a high level of accuracy and quality throughout.
Working with the team, you'll translate client requirements into actionable tasks with practical timelines, and collaborate directly with clients to identify and solve problems that need an engineered solution for environmental protection systems.
What You'll Be Doing…
- Deliver assigned technical and engineering projects end-to-end, overseeing installations and assuring quality and accuracy throughout
- Translate client requirements into practical solutions, organising timelines, resources and third party contractors
- Produce detailed site survey reports identifying compliance based upgrade requirements, plus O&M manuals and commissioning certification
- Prepare scope of works documents, risk assessments, method statements, estimates and proposals
- Support separator installations, decommissioning, technical upgrades and M&E system specification - generally alongside larger civils packages
- Collaborate with the EPS R&D steering group on product development, patents and deliverables such as telemetry and remote monitoring
- Liaise with clients, A&A service lines and external suppliers to deliver integrated environmental protection solutions

Qualifications
You’ll fit right in if you have…
- Proven mechanical engineering background with strong electrical competencies and experience in industrial electrical installations
- Strong technical knowledge of valves, pumping systems, relevant standards (BS EN 858-2, BS 7671 – 18th Edition) and AutoCAD
- Demonstrable ability to create and implement plans, analyse problems logically and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Self starter who can convert outline direction into outcomes and respond positively to change
- Previous experience in a similar project engineering role within environmental systems, water treatment or containment infrastructure
- Computer literate with excellent report writing skills using Word, Excel and Email
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites and support remote deployments
