Shifts: Full Time, Days – Monday to Friday
Generations People is recruiting an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a manufacturing company based in Chesterfield.
We are looking for a proactive Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance Engineers to ensure the continuous reliability and safety of the manufacturing plant. This is a key role where you will support a wide range of plant maintenance.

Responsibilities And Duties For The Maintenance Engineer
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections and servicing on diverse plant machinery to prevent failures before they occur.
- Rapid Breakdown Response: Diagnose and repair Electrical faults quickly and effectively to maintain production flow.
- Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using our internal IT systems.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Ideally formally qualified in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent apprenticeship).
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work overtime, occasionally at short notice, to meet critical production needs.
