About the Client
Our client is a premier Tier 1 MEP contractor renowned for delivering complex, high-value engineering services across the UK. They have been secured to deliver the full, multi-million-pound MEP package for an iconic, large-scale educational and research facility upgrade in Norfolk.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to oversee all on-site mechanical packages. You will lead the installation of state-of-the-art laboratory gases, complex HVAC systems, and ultra-efficient district heating connections. Your focus will be on quality, programme delivery, and strict health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage on-site mechanical subcontractors and direct labour.
- Oversee HVAC, public health, and specialist lab service installations.
- Review mechanical technical drawings, spatial coordination, and RAMS.
- Drive the construction programme to meet strict handover milestones.
- Collaborate closely with the principal contractor's logistics and structural teams.
- Lead mechanical commissioning, snagging, and quality handovers.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on major projects (£15m+ MEP value).
- Deep technical knowledge of complex commercial HVAC and piped services.
- Experience working on educational, laboratory, or heritage retrofit projects is highly desirable.
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, and First Aid certificates.
- Strong communication skills to manage client and main contractor relations.
