Mechanical Construction Manager Data Centre Blyth
Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector.
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Blyth, Northumberland.
Responsibilities
Overall Mechanical Delivery
- Lead and manage the execution of all mechanical works, including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, fire protection, and fuel systems, ensuring delivery in line with programme, budget, and client data centre standards.

Subcontractor & Workforce Management
- Manage mechanical subcontractors and site teams, coordinating resources, productivity, sequencing, and interfaces with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams.
Programme & Planning Control
- Develop and drive short-term and look-ahead programmes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures to meet key data hall and phased handover milestones.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure mechanical works are delivered in compliance with project specifications, Dutch and European regulations, QAQC requirements, and HSE standards, promoting a strong safety-first culture on site.

Testing, Commissioning & Handover Support
- Oversee mechanical completion, testing, and commissioning activities, supporting integrated systems testing (IST) and ensuring mechanical systems are fully ready for client and authority handover.
Requirements
- Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background
- Must have 8+ years experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
- Must be based within a commutable distance of Blyth, Northumberland
