Hours: 36.75 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 8:00am - 12:45pm
About the Role:
Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and improvement of advanced engineering systems.
You will be responsible for delivering practical, cost-effective design solutions while supporting projects across design, manufacture, and customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies
- Produce and maintain engineering drawings and documentation
- Create and manage BOMs within internal systems
- Improve existing products for performance and manufacturability
- Investigate and resolve product faults
- Develop customer-specific engineering solutions
- Support sales with technical input and proposals
- Assist with build, installation, and commissioning activities
- Work closely with engineering, production, and service teams

Key Requirements:
- HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ideally 5+ years experience
- Strong SolidWorks CAD skills
- Experience with FEA, CFD, and PLM systems
- Knowledge of ANSYS, MATLAB, Excel or similar tools
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
- Good problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills
Additional Info:
- Must have right to work in the UK
- DBS check required
